Job summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a Lead Childcare Teacher to plan and deliver a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. You will implement curriculum supporting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth while maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom.

You will supervise and mentor assistant staff, manage daily classroom operations, and communicate regularly with families about progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDA, TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate is required.
• Pass a background check is required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Must meet Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• Passion for early childhood education and the social‑emotional well‑being of young children.
• Reliable, team‑oriented, and committed to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Teacher in day‑to‑day care of the children in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Support the implementation of an age‑appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
• Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.

About This Role

At Chroma Early Learning Academy, a Lead Childcare Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and knowledgeable in early childhood education, with strong leadership skills and a genuine commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
