Job summary

BrightPath Kids Glastonbury is seeking a Lead Teacher to work with children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, partnering with families and staff to deliver nurturing, developmentally appropriate care. This full-time position emphasizes safety, growth, and adherence to NAEYC standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent credentials required (CDA, Head Teacher, or 12 ECE credits, or Bachelor's).
• 2+ years in a licensed child care setting preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and nurturing.
• Partner with families to plan care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
