Job summary

The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office in Florida is seeking a Child Advocate Manager to oversee a team of volunteers and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary roster of professionals. You will gather case information, provide best-interest recommendations, and prepare court reports.

Travel to hearings and visits with families may be required. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree preferred in related social sciences, plus 2 years in child welfare or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with related social science focus; experience may meet degree requirement.
• Two years in a program focusing on child welfare, social service, counseling, teaching, or supervising volunteers is desired.
• Ability to obtain a Florida Child Advocate Manager Certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and external partners to advocate for children's best interests.
• Oversee Guardian Ad Litem Office volunteers and case information gathering.
• Prepare written reports for court and provide testimony as needed.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and case conferences; maintain confidentiality and privacy.
