Responsibilities

Provide technical support for UOP technologies to customers and partners.
Support external and internal customers including EPC contractors, vendors, and R&D.
Transfer UOP technology to licensed or designed units for optimal, safe operation.
Deliver value-added digital and other services to improve reliability and profitability.
Participate in customer meetings and engineering reviews including PFD, P&ID, and HAZOP.
Prepare and update operating manuals, process technology manuals, and training materials.
Report directly to the Senior Chemical Engineering Manager.

Job description

• Provide technical support for UOP technologies including NHT, CCR Platforming, Fixed Bed Platforming, Penex, Butamer, ParIsom, and other light fuels process technologies
• Support external customers, including license and operating companies, EPC contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Support internal customers including Field Services, CSO, R&D, Engineering, and Business
• Transfer UOP technology for customer UOP-licensed or UOP-designed units that operate optimally, profitably, and safely
• Deliver value-added digital and other services to improve customer reliability and profitability
• Interact regularly with external customers and UOP personnel involved in projects and services
• Collaborate with R&D, Sales/Sales Support, Engineering, and other UOP departments
• Participate in NPI and BTI projects
• Champion changes and improvements in supported technologies and services
• Participate in customer meetings and engineering review meetings, including design basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, plot plans, HAZOP, and model reviews
• Conduct on-site commercial unit audits
• Prepare and update general operating manuals, process technology manuals, and training materials
• Report directly to the Senior Chemical Engineering Manager

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
12+ years of relevant technical experience, including UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in process operations, technical service, or engineering design
Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering valued
Experience with Platforming and Light Naphtha Isomerization UOP technologies preferred
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Must be a U.S. Person under U.S. export control laws, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, person with protected U.S. asylum or refugee status, or someone able to obtain export authorization
