The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview
· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024.
· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at opening, with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.
· This $250 million project also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building providing community members convenient access to expert care.
· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a range of healthcare services including emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care.
The role you’ll contribute:
The Lead/Charge Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care for patients within a care unit and managing the clinical activities of nursing staff. This role supervises and directs nursing personnel, using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. The nurse applies assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills to patient care, ensuring compassionate, competent, and cost-effective nursing services. The nurse utilizes the nursing process in administering the medical and nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies, procedures, and protocols under supervision of the Nurse Manager, Director, Vice President of Clinical Services, or designee.

· Performs and documents accurate initial assessments according to unit standards, including observation, information interpretation, safety, discharge planning, psychosocial, cultural, family needs, multi-system physical assessments, and patient/family education on disease and care requirements. Reports relevant information promptly to the responsible physician.
