Advanced Animal Hospital Wisconsin is seeking a Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team!

By offering services such as laser therapy, ultrasound, specialty surgery, quality vaccines, extended evening and weekend hours, and much more, The Advanced Animal Hospital Group can accommodate your pet’s medical and wellness needs 6 days a week.

We serve the cities of Milwaukee, WI, Greenfield, WI, Cudahy, WI, St. Francis, WI, Greendale, WI, Oak Creek, WI, West Allis, WI, Franklin, WI, South Milwaukee, WI, Racine, WI, and more!

Compensation: Up to $26/hour DOE

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, closed on Saturday, Sunday 8am-6pm

Shift: Four-day work week, flexible on days

Job Summary: The Lead Certified Veterinary Technician (Lead CVT) trains, supervises, and assists veterinary support staff to plan, coordinate, and perform duties related to animal health and client education, promoting efficiency by relieving veterinarians of technical and administrative tasks. This position also encompasses all duties of a Veterinary Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and uphold core values and mission statement of MVP.
  • Perform all functions related to Licensed Veterinary Technician duties.
  • Work with the Inventory Manager to purchase pharmaceutical supplies, maintain logs, and manage inventory.
  • Educate clients on healthcare, vaccines, flea and heartworm products, and promote veterinary services.
  • Assist with hospital operations including answering phones, scheduling, and prescription requests.
  • Ensure compliance with animal health laws, OSHA, DEA, and other regulations.
  • Train and guide support staff, conduct meetings, and manage clinic flow and schedules.
  • Address personnel matters and provide performance feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Professional demeanor, patience, and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Experience with injections, anesthesia, client education, and practice management software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
