Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician to lead our sterile processing team and ensure instruments are sterilized to the highest standards.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor staff, review sterilization cycles, and collaborate with surgical teams to maintain safe, efficient workflows and patient care excellence.

Strong leadership and compliance with CSPDT/CST/CRCST cert expectations within 1 year of start are required.

• 3 years experience required

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient care
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standards
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedure
• Managing inventory, organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to help keep surgeries run smoothly and on time
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example to support a safe, high-quality environment where teamwork thrives
