Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant:

Responsibilities
  • This position will assist in the supervisor of work and performance of clinical medical assistants, to include providing input towards performance reviews and corrective action plans if needed.
  • It will oversee and train new and existing staff along with the assistance of the RN Manager.
  • This role will also perform the responsibilities of a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant such as: Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
  • Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
  • Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant Program
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a clinical setting
  • Certification: Required
