Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician to serve as a safety expert and trusted team leader. You will ensure instruments are clean, sterilized, and ready for patient care, while guiding colleagues to maintain a high‑quality environment and timely surgeries.

You will also lead training, review equipment updates, and uphold safety standards in collaboration with the surgical team, contributing to patient outcomes and department

Qualifications

• CRCST or CBSPD certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Sterile Processing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CensiTrac and SPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize instruments and trays for patient care.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment with safety checks and records.
• Prepare sets and case carts by daily schedules and instrument needs.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure timely surgeries.
• Lead and train the Sterile Processing team, model safe, high‑quality practices.

As a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will be an invaluable safety expert and trusted leader on our team. You will use your precision and skills to keep every surgical instrument and supply clean, reliable, and ready when it matters most. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient care

• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standards

• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedure

• Managing inventory, organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to help keep surgeries run smoothly and on time

• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example to support a safe, high-quality environment where teamwork thrives

What qualifications you will need:

• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician or CBSPD

• High School Graduate / GED

• 1 years' experience Required Years of Experience

• Must have some CensiTrac and SPM knowledge
