Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Lead Central Service Technician to oversee staff at the Distribution Center, ensure supplies and equipment are available to health system sites, and deliver materials on time. The role guides operations, coordinates routes, and works with Procurement to manage stock, PAR levels, and back orders.

Shift covers 5:00am–1:30pm with rotating weekends; indefinite, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Allocate tasks and assign routes to staff for operations
• Recommend inventory cost reduction initiatives, assist in establishing operating standards, and helps implement quality improvements
• Perform data entry, manage inventory, maintain PAR levels and back up supplies
• Order, receive, distribute, and deliver supplies in a timely manner
• Work closely with the clinical staff to identify their needs
• Work on back-order reports and coordinate product substitute with Procurement and vendors
• Processing order for inventory picking
• Maintaining of equipment such as mobile devices, vehicle and so on to be in good used condition.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Central Service Technician, you will provide general direction and training to staff to ensure that production is maintained in all areas and assigned tasks are completed at the UCLA Distribution Center. You will be responsible for verifying adequate materials and equipment are supplied throughout the Health System and ensuring the clinical departments’ needs are met. This position is required to deliver supplies to UCLA Health sites by driving university vehicles. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
