Job summary

UNACEM North America in Paulden, AZ seeks a Production Shift Supervisor to supervise the assigned shift, ensuring safe, compliant and consistent production of cement, pozzolan, clinker, raw mix and solid fuels.

You will enforce SOPs, coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics and other departments; conduct pre-shift meetings; maintain shift logs; and oversee a team of Production Assistants to ensure production continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• 7 years cement or similar plant experience.
• 2 years production labor, mechanic, or electrical experience, plus 2 years as a CRO.
• MSHA Part 46 training and annual refresher; CPR and First Aid certification; Leadership and Management training.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and identify production issues, make operational decisions, and take corrective actions.
• Provide field supervision and coordination for the shift, ensuring proper risk assessment, LOTOTO, and all other safety measures are followed.
• Ensure consistent production of cement, pozzolan, clinker, raw mix, and solid fuels within established quality guidelines.
• Communicate significant issues to the appropriate department(s) and the Production Coordinator as necessary.
• Conduct an effective shift turnover with the incoming supervisor and maintain shift logs.
• Enforce SOPs and Company Policies.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
• Oversee Production Assistants and conduct pre-shift meetings; coaching and staffing oversight.
