Equitable is seeking a Lead, Ceded Reinsurance Administration to lead a team in supporting the Reinsurance Treaty Administration function within Finance Operations. You’ll manage settlements, reporting, and compliance with treaty provisions, partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and automate where possible.

Equitable is looking for an experienced Lead, Ceded Reinsurance Administration team member to join our Reinsurance Treaty Administration team. Reporting to the Director of Reinsurance Administration, this position is responsible for supporting Finance Operations within the Accounting Center of Excellence while driving excellence in reinsurance treaty administration and related financial processes. Reinsurance is a key component of Equitable’s strategy to manage capital, support growth, and return value to our shareholders.
This role leads a team of Reinsurance professionals to develop subject matter expertise on a portfolio of ceded life and annuity reinsurance treaties. This position partners with Finance, Product, and IT teams to operationalize reinsurance transactions, and manage ongoing settlements and reporting.
A key focus of this role is to manage detailed treaty and policy-level information to ensure Equitable complies with all policy, treaty, and reporting requirements. The Lead, Ceded Reinsurance Administration will identify and support opportunities to automate and improve the administration of our ceded treaties. They will provide business insights to stakeholders.
This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
