Responsibilities

The Lead CAT Scanner Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality. Applies professional knowledge to prepare patients for procedures, educate, and respond to questions or concerns. Ensures age-appropriate communication, safety, patient education, and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates understanding of patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training. Lead responsibilities include supporting department staff and addressing shift concerns. Assists imaging services leaders in meeting departmental satisfaction, regulatory, and budgetary goals. Collaborates with leadership to develop, review, and approve policies, procedures, emergency preparedness, staff training, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Required:

• RO (State Radiography License)
• One of: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT
• Must obtain ARRT-CT within 1 year of hire

Desired:

• One year of supervisory experience and one year of CT experience
