Rolls-Royce is seeking a Lead Casting Buyer for Strategic Purchasing to drive supplier selection and negotiations for casting commodities. This hybrid, full-time role in Aiken, SC (onsite 3 days/week) requires deep analytical and commercial casting expertise and international travel when needed.

You will manage external procurement through series release, perform detailed cost analyses, and lead cost-reduction initiatives with suppliers to support development efforts and ensure quality standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, materials management, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in strategic procurement with casting commodities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

This is a critical role that demands deep technical and commercial expertise in cast components, including supplier management, cost analysis, and global sourcing strategy.What you will be doing:Manage supplier selection for casting commodities , including evaluating new suppliers, collecting and comparing offers, and making award decisions.Lead and document contract negotiations, including framework agreements that address quality standards, capacity planning, cost reimbursements, and logistics.Oversee the complete external procurement process for cast components up to series production release.Perform detailed cost and price analyses, particularly for cast parts, and support simultaneous engineering and development efforts with suppliers.Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities specific to casting materials and processes.Basic Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, or related field.Minimum 5–7 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a strong focus on casting commodities.Ability to travel - domestic and international and work flexible hours.Preferred Requirements:Master's degree in supply chain, Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, or related field.In-depth technical and commercial understanding of casting processes, suppliers, and industry standardsProven ability to negotiate complex agreements, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost improvements with a focus on cost reductionsExperience working in a global manufacturing or automotive environmentStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPower Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
