Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation seeks a Security Supervisor to oversee the Security Department operations during the assigned shift at our North Las Vegas properties. You will supervise on-shift team members and ensure safety for guests, employees and the property.

The role includes training and briefing staff, maintaining shift schedules, reviewing reports and arrests, and responding to emergencies with professionalism, while adhering to laws, regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet requirements of a Security Officer.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a normal shift.
• Other physical requirements include lifting up to 100 lbs., reaching, kneeling, bending, and episodes of moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
• Minimum of six (6) months of casino security (or similar field) experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Security Department during the assigned shift.
• Supervise and instruct team members on shift in the proper performance of duties to ensure safety of guests, employees, and property.
• Train and brief staff regarding events and issues to monitor.
• Maintain shift schedules and delegate tasks.
• Review and approve all shift reports.
• Review and approve arrests; respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Ensure officers maintain professionalism by adhering to laws, regulations, and company rules and policies.
• Assist security officers with assigned duties as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
