Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment's Cherokee Casino in Oklahoma seeks an EVS Lead to maintain a pristine environment across the casino, offices, and back-of-house areas. You will supervise staff, ensure productivity, and guide special cleaning projects while also performing hands-on cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.

You will train attendants, coordinate schedules, assist guests, and work with maintenance when repairs are needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, with at least one year of related experience
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming authority license
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs

  • Oversees and maintains high standards of cleanliness in all casino operations and venues
  • Trains and coaches EVS Attendants to meet cleanliness standards
  • Ensures productivity of shift personnel and tracks staff time schedules
  • Performs cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, window washing, and trash removal
  • Identifies and coordinates maintenance repairs with the shift supervisor
  • Performs basic maintenance on EVS equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and extractors
  • Assists guests by answering questions and providing directions

Job description

This is a leadership position focused on maintaining a pristine environment throughout the casino, including the main gaming floors, corporate offices, and back-of-house areas. The EVS Lead will guide the work of other employees, ensure productivity, and oversee special cleaning projects. In addition to supervisory duties, this role also involves hands-on cleaning, basic equipment maintenance, and assisting guests with their needs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees and maintains high standards of cleanliness in all casino operations and venues.
  • Trains and coaches EVS Attendants to ensure they efficiently meet cleanliness standards.
  • Ensures the productivity of the shift personnel and tracks staff time schedules to ensure proper coverage.
  • Performs a variety of cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, window washing, and trash removal.
  • Identifies and coordinates maintenance repairs with the shift supervisor to ensure timely fixes.
  • Performs basic maintenance on EVS equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and extractors.
  • Assists guests by answering questions and providing directions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred, with at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a license from the appropriate gaming authority.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
