Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Lead Cashier for our school food service program in Meridian Charter Township, Michigan. The role focuses on proper POS operation during meal service, end-of-day banking, and related food service duties in a busy school environment.

Responsibilities include cash handling, drawer counts, bank deposits, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. A High School diploma and ServeSafe or 10-hour sanitation certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Valid ServeSafe certificate or valid 10-hour sanitation certificate preferred.
• Ability to operate Point of Sale system and perform cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale system during meal service.
• Complete End of Day procedures and bank deposits.
• Stock and clean assigned areas, assist with food service duties as needed.
• Count cash drawers and ensure accurate receipt entries.
• Gather orders for the kitchen and deliver to the coordinator.
