Job summary

Compass Group USA, Eurest division, is hiring a Lead Cashier at Whirlpool Clyde, OH. The role handles guest services at the service desk, manages cash and POS transactions, and supports cashiers with training and scheduling.

The position offers full-time and part-time schedules with early hours. Cashier experience is required and there is an internal referral bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Greets and acknowledges every guest; maintains solid product knowledge; and provides outstanding guest service.
• Oversees and authorizes guest returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorization, charge sends, rain checks and discretion discounts; ensures completion of PoS transactions and cash control at PoS registers.
• Helps train cashiers and cross-trains other associates.
• Helps prepare daily deposits, change and media; some locations have access to safe combinations and keys.
• Ensures compliance with company policies; supports loss-prevention efforts.
• Oversees productivity, breaks and daily scheduling of cashiers; communicates performance issues to management.
• Maintains front-end supplies.
• Assists with guest service, floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance and merchandise replenishment as needed.
• Covers cashier shifts when call-offs occur.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
