General Summary & Scope

The Lead Cashier (LC) ensures efficient guest transactions and maintains cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and aesthetics. The LC trains new cashiers, cross-trains associates, and drives loyalty results through performance, people, and process focus. The role supports opening and closing registers, associate inspections, and cashier chats, with a passion for guest experience and process excellence.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meet or exceed store goals related to sales, loyalty, and shrink.
• Provide exceptional guest service, greeting, engaging, and personalizing interactions.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Support guest services like makeup applications and product demonstrations.
• Support in-store events and appointments to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Maintain cashwrap displays and supplies, ensuring guest readiness.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Assist with cashier chats, associate inspections, and training.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and ingredients.
• Promote the loyalty program and create excitement around credit and loyalty goals.
• Lead by engaging and influencing peers for productivity and performance.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and sales.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Complete all transactions accurately and control cash/media.
• Perform register opening and closing as directed.

• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Passion for guest service and sales.
• Experience handling guest concerns and exceeding sales goals.

• Proficient with POS systems and technology.

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
