Job summary

Pilot Company in Richfield, Ohio is hiring a cashier team lead to manage one-to-two cashiers, process cash, card, and digital payments, and ensure quick, friendly service at the pump and store. You will complete end-of-shift reports, follow guidelines on restricted merchandise, maintain a clean work area, and use upselling techniques to drive sales while resolving guest issues per company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow guidelines for restricted merchandise sale (alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues per company processes; resolve conflicts
• Determine break schedules and team member placement
• Assist with other travel center functions (deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, coffee)
• Model company purpose and support guests and team members
• Ensure adherence to rules, regulations, policies, procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Job Description

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $12.60 - $17.85 / hour
