Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a frontline cashier shift lead at our Indiana location. You will supervise 1–2 cashiers, process cash and card transactions, and ensure a clean, organized workspace.

You will promote products using suggestive selling and deliver exceptional guest service. Responsibilities include end-of-shift reporting, break scheduling, handling guest feedback, and complying with policies on restricted merchandise.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Able to lead a small shift of 1–2 cashiers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Provide quality guest service at all times.
• Follow policies for restricted merchandise items.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues following company processes.
• Determine break schedules and team placement during shift.
• Assist with deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, and other travel center tasks.
• Model company values and support guests and team members.

Job Description

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $12.60 - $17.85 / hour
