JOB TITLE: Lead Cashier

DIVISION: Food and Beverage

REPORTS TO: Restaurant Supervisor

LOCATION: Mountain Restaurants

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time/ Seasonal/ Hourly

Solitude is looking for a friendly and outgoing individual who thrives in the mountain scene! The beautiful mountain view in our food and beverage locations will surely liven up your work environment here at Solitude. The Food and Beverage Cashier is responsible for entering all purchases into P.O.S and collect proper payment for purchases.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic are a must.
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 40lbs.
  • Willing to work flexible work schedules that may include holidays and weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent - preferred.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of customer service to execute Solitude's standards.
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses and or certifications such as Food Handler's Permit and Sips & Tips
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Organization and time management skills are a must
  • 21 years old or older
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for taking money in the form of cash, check, or credit card from patrons in exchange for food or services.
  • Scan items, provide customer with change and process card transactions.
  • Ensure pricing is correct in the P.O.S.
  • Greet customers in a respectful and friendly manner.
  • Scan coupons and employee Solibucks at register
  • Ask for customer's ID to confirm identity that they are 21 years of age or older when purchasing alcohol.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits
  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Change receipt paper as needed.
  • Resolve amount discrepancies.
  • Clean up checkout area with damp cloth and disinfectant.
  • Answer customers' questions and get a manager if answer doesn't solve the issue.
  • Stock deli cooler and beverages in designated areas
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining room, including bussing and cleaning tables, windows, and floors.
  • Responsible for trash and recycling removal and disposal.
  • Provide guest service while bussing tables to include answering guest questions for mountain information, directions, restaurant information, etc.
  • Support restaurant staff with any other task that is needed to be done.
  • Follow company policy and procedures as set forth in the handbook.
  • Ability to train other cashier and busser attendants
  • Support Supervisor with staff scheduling
