Position Overview

The Lead Cashier (LC) ensures efficient guest transactions and maintains high standards at the cashwrap, including cleanliness and aesthetics. The LC trains new cashiers, cross-trains staff, and leads by example in delivering exceptional guest service, promoting loyalty, and achieving sales goals. The role involves supporting store operations during opening and closing, and engaging with guests to enhance their experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance: Meet or exceed sales and loyalty targets, provide personalized guest service, handle transactions courteously, and maintain cashwrap readiness.
2. People: Foster an inclusive environment, support team training, stay informed on products and trends, and motivate peers to achieve goals.
3. Process: Comply with company policies, ensure transaction accuracy, uphold store standards, and safeguard assets.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 2+ years in cashiering or retail, with proven sales and customer service skills. Experience in training staff is a plus.

Skills: Proficiency with POS systems and technology, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work under pressure and independently.

Additional Requirements: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be 18+ years old.

Work Conditions

• Mobility and physical activity required, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Store environment with frequent movement, bending, and reaching.
