Cennox is seeking a qualified Carpenter to manage commercial renovation projects in the Houston, TX area. The role involves after-hours and weekend work, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal staff.

Strong leadership, blueprint literacy, and organization are essential to keep projects on schedule and within safety guidelines. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction management or carpentry, is detail-oriented, and capable of working without direct supervision.

Qualifications

• Construction Management / Carpentry experience (2 years minimum).
• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory role.
• Clean DMV/Drug Test/Background Check.
• Comfortable reading blueprints and drawings.
• Reliable transportation and flexible work hours.
• All work is completed after hours at night and on weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with interior finishes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to determine initial project plan with Project Manager.
• Ensure materials orders, equipment delivery, and inspections support the project schedule.
• Maintain site safety and enforce company safety policies.
• Review plans and manufacturer data to execute projects.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Manage project and 3-week look ahead schedules; update weekly.
• Generate RFIs as needed to clarify discrepancies.
• Follow quality control procedures with project team.
• Conduct preconstruction planning meetings.
• Lead on-site meetings with subcontractors to identify scope and quality expectations.
• Manage subcontractors and maintain organized, clean job sites.
• Track progress and capture subcontractor manhours via mobile app.
