Job summary

Dutchess Building Specialist in the Hudson Valley is expanding our team and seeking an Experienced Carpenter/Lead Carpenter. DBS is an award-winning residential remodeling company with 35+ years of service.

You will lead remodeling projects from start to finish, supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, install kitchens and baths, and ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction on every job.

Qualifications

• Must be eager to provide exceptional customer service.
• Preferably self-employed or currently employed.
• 5-years’ experience running remodeling projects from start to finish, both large & small (ranging from $15,000-$250,000).
• Experienced with coordinating subcontractors and scheduling.
• Has experience installing Kitchens & Bathrooms.
• Must feel comfortable working independently.
• Must have a clean license.
• Has referrals on-hand that are willing to be a testament to their work.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, remodel and repair structures, fixtures, and spaces with professionalism and craftsmanship.
• Deliver an exceptional remodeling experience to every DBS customer.
• Maintain a clear and safe job site.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professional appearance and quality workmanship.
• Communicate project details with Homeowner.
• Prepare project layouts and higher-level remodeling tasks.
• Install cabinetry, molding, partitions, doors and windows.
• Work with wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall materials.
• Use chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders.
• Check work for code compliance and specs.
• Maintain project paperwork and schedules.
• Stay organized with receipts, inspections and contracts.
• Schedule subcontractors, material orders and inspections.
• Anticipate needs for helpers and tools and coordinate with offices.
• Supervise field carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors when needed.
• Ensure efficient and profitable use of company resources.
• Maintain and organize the jobsite trailer and inventory.
