• Three years of experience or training in the carpentry trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent decisions on layouts. Build, remodel, and renovate existing residences and buildings; hang doors and install windows; operate hand and power tools; build and install prefabricated shelves and cabinets; re-roof residences; repair patient care buildings (ceiling tiles, doors, shelves, floors).
• Make changes to structures to Fire Marshal’s specs and Life Safety Codes; reconstruct porches, rails, floors, ceilings; repair and reconstruct furniture; assemble weight scales, wheel chairs, medicine carts.
• Order supplies for the Carpenter shop; ensure preventive maintenance on shop equipment.
