Pay: $40/hour (depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated lead carpenter/remodeler with over 5 years of carpentry and leadership experience? Are you passionate about transforming residential and commercial spaces in the Pittsburgh, PA area?

If so, LaMay Property Development is seeking a Full-Time Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. We proudly boast an average team tenure of over 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and laborers on various interior remodeling projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.

Carpentry Work:

• Perform advanced carpentry tasks including framing, trimming, installing cabinetry, and other finish work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to execute precise carpentry work.
• Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Quality Control:

• Inspect work for accuracy, craftsmanship, and compliance with project specifications.
• Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain high-quality standards.

Material Management:

• Estimate material requirements and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure materials are used efficiently to minimize waste and control costs.

Safety Management:

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Provide progress updates and address any concerns or questions from clients.

Qualifications

• Exterior and Interior Remodeling.
• Proven experience as a lead carpenter or similar role in interior remodeling.
• Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, with a focus on interior remodeling.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in various conditions (e.g., heights, confined spaces).
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
