Job summary

ID3 Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead our custom fabrication team. This hands-on leadership role builds exhibits, cabinetry, and scenic elements while directing carpenters and the fabrication crew to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.

The ideal candidate reads shop drawings, plans construction methods, and coordinates with project managers to resolve fabrication issues and ensure on-time delivery. Travel for installations may be required.

Qualifications

• Five years or more in carpentry, cabinetmaking, or exhibit fabrication, with leadership preferred.
• Experience reading detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry methods and materials; able to plan too.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction of exhibits, cabinetry, millwork, and scenic elements.
• Review drawings, blueprints, and production specs to plan methods.
• Assign daily work and provide hands-on direction to carpenters.
• Monitor progress, labor needs, and material usage.
• Train team on techniques, safety, and quality standards.
• Inspect finished work and perform final adjustments after completion.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and engineers.
