Job summary

Las Cruces Public Schools is seeking a Maintenance/Physical Plant Lead Carpenter to oversee carpentry tasks within the district’s facilities. You will lead material planning, scheduling, safety, and collaborate with the facilities team to ensure reliable building operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of carpentry experience, knowledge of building systems, and experience with access control and security systems. A New Mexico driver’s license is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of carpenter experience with Las Cruces Public Schools or in NM.
• 3 years' experience with commercial locking, access control, and security systems.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid New Mexico driver's license.
• Verifiable work and character references.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems.
