Job description

We are seeking a Lead Carpenter to join our Spokane team to manage and execute a variety of home repair, remodeling, and safety modification projects from start to finish. In this role, you will act as both a lead craftsman and a project manager, taking ownership of project timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction.

This position is ideal for an experienced carpenter who wants to step away from the stress of bidding and selling work. At TruBlue, our jobs are already sold before you arrive. We handle the scheduling, marketing, and client matching so that you can focus entirely on delivering high-quality craftsmanship, achieving a perfect final reveal, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance with a consistent, five-day work week and no travel outside of Spokane County.

What Success Looks Like

On a day-to-day basis, you will lead hands-on carpentry tasks while keeping your projects running smoothly. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Project Execution: Performing high-quality hands-on work, including door and window replacements, deck construction, handrails, trim work, flooring repairs, and home safety modifications.
  • Client Communication: Serving as the primary on-site contact for homeowners, explaining the project steps, managing expectations, and building trusted relationships.
  • Resource Management: Coordinating with internal team members and external trade vendors to ensure the right materials and labor are allocated to each project.
  • Progress Tracking: Managing project budgets and schedules, and communicating progress clearly to both clients and our office leadership.

Over time, success in this role means establishing yourself as a reliable leader who consistently earns five-star reviews and repeat business through outstanding workmanship and clear, professional communication.
