Job summary

Hill Top Craftsmen in Spokane, WA is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to supervise a field crew while staying hands-on with framing on residential or commercial projects.

You will read blueprints, plan daily activities, mentor carpenters, and ensure safety and quality on every project. Competitive pay ranges from $29 to $34 per hour, with opportunities for advancement into higher field leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on residential construction experience with a strong carpentry and framing background.
• Experience leading crews as a Lead Carpenter, Crew Lead, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
• The ability to read blueprints and translate plans into efficient field execution.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Experience using construction technology such as Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with both team members and clients when needed.
• A dependable work ethic and a commitment to leading by example.

Hill Top Craftsmen is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who takes pride in producing exceptional work while leading a crew in the field. If you're an accomplished carpenter with strong framing experience, whether it's commercial or residential, and enjoy mentoring others while staying hands-on, we'd love to meet you.

This isn't a management role where you spend the day behind a desk. You'll work alongside your crew, oversee daily construction activities, and help ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our clients expect.

What You'll Do
