An established industry player is seeking a Lead Carpenter to join their Facilities Services Maintenance Department. In this role, you will perform journey-level carpentry work, overseeing critical operations and providing leadership to your team. Reporting to the Skilled Crafts Trades Supervisor in the Facilities Services Maintenance Department, the Lead Carpenter performs journey-level work related to the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of building structures, flooring, furniture, etc. Oversees critical day-to-day operations in supervisor's absence and acts as a subject matter expert who provides leadership to team members. The Lead Carpenter is responsible for operating and training others on equipment, methods, and materials used to perform various carpentry projects throughout the University of California, Riverside campus. This position may work independently or as part of a team and responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate concerns and correct safety issues. Maintains a positive attitude for the team and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.
The full salary range for the Lead Carpenter is $44.91 - $50.56 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
