Job summary

Center Carpentry LLC is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our residential remodeling and custom-home team in Ashland, NH. This role leads daily production on active jobsites, reads drawings, plans sequences, and coordinates subcontractors.

We expect 7+ years of carpentry experience and the ability to lead small on-site crews. You will mentor apprentices, maintain safety, and ensure high-quality workmanship while communicating with the Project Manager.

• Proficiency across framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry install.
• Reliable transportation to Ashland, NH job locations.
• Excellent communication with clients and project manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production on active jobsites, mentoring apprentices and journeyworkers.
• Read and interpret drawings, elevations, and specifications.
• Plan work sequences, materials, and daily goals to keep projects on schedule.
• Execute residential carpentry: framing, trim, cabinetry, windows/doors, siding, finish details.
• Coordinate and supervise specialty subcontractors on-site.
• Uphold quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism.
• Communicate progress and needs with the Project Manager.
• Maintain an organized, clean, protected jobsite.
• Log daily updates using JobTread.

Center Carpentry is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing residential remodeling and custom-home team. While this job is posted in Concord , all projects are located in Ashland, NH and the surrounding Central NH region . We welcome applicants from Concord who are open to a predictable commute into the Lakes Region.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily production on active jobsites, working hands-on with apprentices and journeyworkers
• Read and interpret drawings, elevations, and specifications
• Plan work sequences, material needs, and daily goals to keep projects on schedule
• Execute all phases of residential carpentry: framing, trim, cabinetry install, windows/doors, siding, and finish details
• Coordinate and supervise specialty subcontractors on-site
• Uphold company standards for quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism
• Communicate frequently with the Project Manager on progress, needs, and challenges
• Train and mentor less experienced carpenters
• Maintain an organized, clean, protected jobsite
• Use JobTread for daily logs, updates, and communication

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of carpentry experience , including custom and finish work
• Ability to manage small teams and lead the pace on-site
• Strong skill set across framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry install, exterior carpentry, and general residential construction
• Reliable transportation to Ashland, NH job locations
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
• Well-maintained professional tool set (company provides larger equipment)
• Humble, organized, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement
• $34-$40/hr , depending on experience and craftsmanship
