Job summary

Gramophone is looking for a Lead Carpenter to join our Design & Build team in the Baltimore and DC Metro areas. Candidates should have over 10 years of carpentry experience and be skilled in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, and installation of vinyl flooring.

Key responsibilities include managing projects effectively and communicating with subcontractors. Tools required include basic carpentry hand tools, and a valid driver's license is mandatory. A drug test may be necessary as well.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years of experience required.
• Ability to read and understand building plans.
• Experience with framing, drywall, and finish carpentry.

Responsibilities

We are a contracting firm working in the Baltimore and DC Metro areas and surrounding counties specializing in high end award winning projects including theaters and complete renovation and remodeling projects.

We are looking for a Lead Carpenter to assist our Gramophone Design & Build team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Framing
• Drywall
• Finish carpentry (including installation of trim/millwork, custom moulding, wall panels, case work and cabinetry)
• Crown moulding
• Installation of vinyl plank flooring

Minor demolition on some projects

Qualifications

• 10 or more years experience
• Ability to read and understand building plans and specifications
• Experience with all of the job responsibilities listed above
• Top quality workmanship
• Good problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage and motivate others
• Effective communication with subcontractors, material suppliers and division manager
• Time management is crucial for timely project scheduling and completion

Requirements
