Description

Are you a skilled carpenter and natural leader looking to take your career to the next level? At Francis Renovations, we’re seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Project Manager to bring craftsmanship, leadership, and exceptional customer service to our high-quality design-build projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform all aspects of carpentry, from rough framing to cabinet installation and trim work.
• Oversee and coordinate trade partners on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
• Be the primary point of contact for our amazing clients, ensuring their vision comes to life.
• Maintain clear communication with the team, clients, and vendors to keep projects on track.
• Uphold our company’s high standards of quality, integrity, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Manage construction workers and subcontractors, perform routine inspections on-site, and give guidance as needed to ensure high-quality finished products.
• Comply with all best-practice health and safety standards to prevent injuries and slowdowns at construction sites, and promptly report any issues to the project manager if they do occur.
• Record a daily log of construction project progress and home improvement updates for the project manager and homeowner.
• Talk to clients to get a clear understanding of the project details, and work with the project manager to assist with detailed construction planning.
• Incorporate client feedback during the building process and help the construction crew and subcontractors execute change orders.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as a Lead Carpenter or Project Manager in residential remodeling.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, problem-solve, and manage project timelines.
• A true team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
• Experience with JobTread is a plus (or willingness to learn).
• Must have a reliable van or truck and all necessary tools to complete work efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Physically capable of using heavy equipment and lifting at least 40 pounds.

Compensation:

$35 - $55 hourly
