Job description

As our Lead Carpenter, you will provide guidance and supervision to the project team involved in projects. The Lead Carpenter's responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to clients’ requests for emergency repairs, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to specified standards. You should also be able to assist the production manager in solving project-related problems.

To be successful as a Lead Carpenter, you should provide regular progress updates to the production manager.

  • Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team
  • Communicating with clients to determine project time frames
  • Calculating labor, time, and materials needed for each project
  • Creating and adjusting project schedules accordingly
  • Ordering all construction materials needed for projects
  • Performing all carpentry duties required, including rough and finish carpentry
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team
  • Fabricating custom furniture, involving carpentry, finishes (paint/stain), and laminate
  • Visiting job sites to take measurements, survey existing conditions, and assist with installations of custom build outs
Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of cabinet making/millwork experience required
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures

$20 - $23 an hour
Hourly rate varies depending on experience
