Job summary

Grand Blanc Community Schools seeks a staff member for Buffey Early Childhood Center (Pumpkin Patch) to support education for 3-year-olds. Up to 35 hours/week at $16.25/hour, with CDA or Associate in Early Childhood required or willingness to obtain one.

Follow LARA guidelines for childcare centers; prefer knowledge of TS Gold/Creative Curriculum/High Scope. Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork with parents and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain a CDA or Associate in Early Childhood.
• Follow LARA licensing guidelines for childcare centers.
• Knowledge of state licensing, TS Gold, Creative Curriculum, High Scope preferred.
• Prior experience with young children preferred.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding all students.
• Regular attendance and punctuality required.
• Passionate about education of 3-year-olds.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with colleagues.
• Commitment to students' educational growth and development.
• Ability to work effectively with parents and staff.

• Must have or willing to obtain a CDA or Associate in Early Childhood
• Follow LARA licensing guidelines for childcare centers
• Previous knowledge in state licensing, TS Gold (Smart Teach), Creative Curriculum, High Scope, etc. preferred
• Prior experience working with young children preferred
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding all students
• Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of this position
• Participate in training pertinent to the assigned position
• Regular attendance and punctuality is required
• Passionate about the education of young students (3 year olds)
• Previous experience preferred
• Willingness to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge
• Evidence of good interpersonal skills with colleagues
