We Are Hiring
  • Department: ACC Centralized Scheduling
  • Schedule: Full-time Days, Monday-Friday, Between 7am-7pm, 40 hrs weekly
  • Location: Remote
What You Will Do

Lead assigned staff in performing activities related to patient registration.

  • Schedule staff to optimize departmental resources and productivity.
  • Order and maintain appropriate supplies.
  • Confirm insurance coverage.
  • Determine necessity for pre-authorization and obtains authorization for scheduled procedures.
  • Determine financial responsibility for services to be provided.
  • Communicate with patients and practitioners regarding financial responsibility and insurance coverage issues, and notify them of any services requested and/or referred that are not authorized by insurance.
  • Keep abreast of insurance company changes and updates. Communicate these changes to staff.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.
Additional Preferences
  • Previous leadership experience a plus.
  • Experience scheduling patient appointments via phone and chat correspondence.
  • Experience taking high volume calls in a health-caresetting.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems in a remote environment.
  • Experience with Athena, Epic, Dash, Salesforce.
  • More than 9 months 1 in current positionand or have previous experience in a similarrole on resume.
  • Excellent attendance, meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Be flexible with schedule.
  • Driven and self-motivated.
  • Able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Multi-task several responsibilities.
  • Quick problem solving, proactiveness and flexibility.
  • Intraday supportto staff with questions, technical issues and more.
  • Possess strong knowledge in departmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle escalation with ease and provide resolution.
  • Assist with training, shadowing and working on other projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
