Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Lead Clinical Cardiac Sonographer (Cardiac Sonographer III) to perform advanced echocardiography and optimize daily Echo lab operations in Baltimore, MD. You will mentor staff, coordinate daily assignments, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality studies.

Qualifications

• CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic ultrasound program completion desired.
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years in Echo lab in an academic hospital required.
• RDCS or RCS certification required; active status through CME; AS Eck cardiology involvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality echocardiogram ultrasound procedures.
• Act as main daily expediter to optimize JHH Echo lab workflow.
• Communicate daily with department manager, sonographers, nurses, physicians and staff.
• Assign daily inpatient and outpatient workloads; mentor students, fellows and staff.
• Assist with education for new hires and manage equipment issues with clinical engineering.
