Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker for Student Housing to maintain and repair multiple campus buildings. The role covers plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and lock systems under the Operations Supervisor.

You will also lead small teams of staff and student workers when assigned, with a required two+ years in building maintenance. The position requires a valid California driver’s license, ability to lift heavy loads, and willingness to work overtime

Qualifications

• Must have two or more years of building maintenance experience.
• Must be able to lift and carry loads over 50 lbs.
• Overtime and weekend availability may be required.
• Must pass background check.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• California driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all Student Housing buildings.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and lock repair tasks.
• Work under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor and lead a small team when assigned.
