Job summary

NORY is seeking a part-time Site Director for a summer program. You will lead a team of 6–12 counselors, coach them daily, and ensure a strong camper experience while maintaining open communication with families.

You’ll oversee morning operations, step in to teach when needed, and hand off to the afternoon lead to set up for success. This role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with children ages 3–12.
• Proven team leadership, mentoring at least four people.
• Strong family engagement and communication with parents.
• Excellent organizational skills and calm under pressure.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6–12 counselors during morning programming.
• Serve as the primary contact for families at drop-off and communicate weekly.
• Oversee morning site operations including schedule, materials, safety, and attendance.
• Step in to teach as needed for a consistent camper experience.
• Provide a written and verbal handover to the afternoon lead at 1:00 PM.
