Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related experience OR graduate degree with 4+ years OR 10+ years with no degree.
• Extensive experience in calibration, metrology, or measurement systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Strong understanding of calibration traceability, measurement uncertainty, and instrument reliability.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external calibration service providers and ensure vendor calibrations meet traceability and documentation requirements per AS9100 and ISO 17025.
• Evaluate and lead out-of-tolerance condition investigations and support impact assessments when measurement instruments are identified as out of calibration.
• Lead internal and external audits related to calibration and quality systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams to resolve calibration-related issues.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for metrology and calibration operations, providing technical leadership, developing procedures, and mentoring team members on measurement best practices.
• Work cross-functionally to implement quality control measures that ensure the accuracy and reliability of tools critical to production processes.
• Lead metrology development projects, including the design, implementation, and validation of new instrumentation and measurement methods.
• Support Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) studies for problem-solving initiatives and new product launch qualifications as they relate to calibration and metrology.
