Job summary

Dutchland, Inc. is seeking a Lead CAD professional to head the team responsible for 3D BIM models of precast, post-tension, and concrete tanks. You will produce erection and production drawings, and material takeoffs to support purchasing, production, and construction teams.

The role requires demonstrated leadership, 5+ years CAD experience in precast concrete, and proficiency in 3D modeling. Tekla Structures is preferred but not required; strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams.
• At least five years of CAD experience detailing precast concrete structural products.
• Experience modeling structures using 3D software packages.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CAD team to prepare 3D models, erection and production drawings, and material takeoff reports for precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks.
• Maintain effective collaboration between CAD and other internal teams to meet company goals.
• Oversee model integration and collaboration with outside engineers and contractors as required.
• Manage software licenses, system updates, and digital tools to optimize productivity.
• Maintain and improve CAD standards; document and train team members on new developments.
• Plan, delegate, and track team workloads for efficient project delivery.
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Evaluate, hire, promote and discipline team members, as required.
