Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Lead Drafter in the Woodland region to develop model drawings and detailed construction drawings for homes.

You will translate rough sketches and client specifications into precise CAD outputs and ensure compliance with US building codes. This role requires AutoCAD expertise, accuracy, and collaboration with Production and Quality teams to resolve design issues and support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school including AutoCAD training or 2–5 years' AutoCAD experience.
• AutoCAD 2015 or higher experience is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Creates model drawings and detailed construction drawings for homes from rough sketches, drawings, specifications and client data.
• Drafts detailed construction drawings of walls, roofs, floors, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, and more.
• Uses CAD software to produce clear, complete drawings with dimensions and materials.
• Submits drawings to third-party agencies for approval as needed.
• Confers with Production and Quality Control to resolve design issues.
