Software Placement Group is seeking a CAD Design Supervisor in Lebanon, Tennessee to lead the Engineering CAD Department. The role oversees CAD Designers, manages documentation, and supports new product development while serving as the site expert for CAD and PLM systems.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years CAD design, 2+ years leadership, strong SolidWorks skills, and a collaborative leadership style. Expect on-site responsibilities with a clear path for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional CAD Design experience.
• 2+ years leading CAD Designers or Drafters.
• SolidWorks expertise.
• Experience managing engineering drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of CAD Designers and CAD Operators.
• Establish department priorities and allocate resources.
• Review and approve drawings, 3D models, and documentation.
• Support ECO/ECR and PCP processes.
• Maintain CAD drafting standards, PDM and PLM systems.
• Serve as CAD software administrator and trainer.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers and Engineering Managers.
• Conduct drawing audits for compliance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with hiring, performance reviews, and budgeting.
• Perform hands-on CAD design work as needed.
