ServicePoint IT is seeking an experienced Lead Technician in the Raleigh region to oversee CAT5 and CAT6 cabling installations in large-scale commercial environments. This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and on-site leadership.

Travel nationwide (100%) is required. You will supervise field technicians, ensure project quality, review blueprints, and coordinate with project managers to keep timelines and deliverables on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structured cabling installation (CAT5/CAT6) in commercial environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing field technician teams.
• Strong expertise in cable termination, testing, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Proficiency with Fluke testers and other network testing tools.
• Willingness to travel nationwide (100% travel) and work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured cabling projects and ensure industry standard compliance.
• Install, terminate, test CAT5/CAT6 cabling; troubleshoot quality issues.
• Train and supervise field technicians on best practices and safety.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to meet timelines.
• Work with fiber optics, patch panels, and network equipment as needed.
• Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and on-site documentation.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and project specs for accuracy.
• Conduct site assessments and pre-install planning to boost efficiency.
• Maintain a safe work environment; enforce OSHA and company policies.
