Worldwide Flight Services seeks a Lead Buyer to manage procurement and strategic sourcing for parts, equipment, materials, and services. You will lead sourcing events, negotiate contracts, and build strong supplier relationships to support cost reductions and availability.

As a senior member of Accounting and Finance, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast requirements, drive procurement governance, and deliver value across 227 locations and 27 countries.

Job Summary

The Lead Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement and strategic sourcing of parts, equipment,materials, and maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, ensure continuity ofsupply, and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Lead enterprise-level sourcing events, including RFQs, RFPs, and supplier business reviews.
• Negotiate complex supplier agreements, contracts, pricing structures, warranties, and servicearrangements.
• Establish and manage strategic supplier partnerships and key vendor relationships.
• Analyze procurement spend, supplier performance, and market trends to identify businessopportunities and risks.
• Partner with operational and functional leaders to forecast requirements and develop sourcingsolutions.
• Lead supplier performance management activities, including KPI development, corrective action plans,and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive standardization, supplier consolidation, and procurement transformation initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audit requirements, and procurement governance activities.
• Serve as the functional expert and escalation point for complex procurement matters
• Minimum 6 years in purchasing, accounting or related experience is preferred (finance, accountspayable, customer service). A combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience leading Strategic Sourcing initiatives/RFP’s, proposal analysis, businessaward, etc.
• Experience negotiating contracts and supplier agreements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience utilizing ERP or procurement systems.
