Project Equity aims to grow community wealth by creating equitable communities and resilient futures through employee ownership transitions. We help employees, especially those in low- to middle-wage jobs, become co-owners of their workplaces, providing services to private businesses exploring or transitioning to employee ownership models.

Join us to innovate and expand our impact. Since our launch eleven years ago, we've developed successful programs designed to scale and innovate transitions to employee ownership. We seek to marry traditional M&A approaches with the existing field of employee ownership to build towards a future of broader impact.

  • Strategy and Management: Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine pipeline development strategies, support market engagement, and oversee work plans and KPIs. Work with other departments to align strategies.
  • Relationship Building and Sales: Become an expert in Employee Ownership messaging, build relationships with industry stakeholders, manage sales cycles, and utilize CRM tools. Represent Project Equity at industry events.
  • Marketing and Campaign Development: Partner with marketing to create outreach materials, develop targeted strategies, and monitor campaign effectiveness.
  • Services Development and Feedback: Work with client services and capital teams to refine offerings, provide market updates, and support sales and service delivery teams.
Work Style and Qualifications

You are passionate about EO and systemic change, a natural coach and relationship builder, proactive, a clear communicator, and comfortable with sales cycles and travel (up to 25%).

Required qualifications include:

  • Proven sales experience with small and lower middle market businesses (7+ years)
  • Background in corporate finance or deal structuring
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Management experience
  • MBA is a plus
