Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an IT - Business Analysis professional to coordinate testing and QA efforts, align requirements with client needs, and ensure reliable system changes. The role requires extensive testing background and SAFe agile experience.

The position is hybrid, with three in-office days weekly at a Philadelphia hub. Candidates should have 8+ years in testing or systems, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of operational procedures and systems.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, and business processes related to proposed solution.
• Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
• Works with client personnel to identify required changes.
• Defines and refines test conditions.
• Communicates needed changes to development team.
• Prioritiz(es)es) multiple tasks effectively; may be responsible for assigning and reviewing project tasks.
• May lead team and client meetings.
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluates alternative business solutions.
• Solves complex problems with initiative and independent judgment; mentors employees across teams.

Serves as a liaison with programming and user departments to coordinate and conduct tests that ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and/or enhancements. Attained subject matter expertise in quality assurance testing methods and company products. Maintains documentation for each project and may train users on new or modified software.

• Prioritizies multiple tasks effectively; may be responsible for assigning and reviewing project tasks completed by others
• May lead team and client meetings
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluates alternative business solutions
• Solves complex problems in creative ways; significant initiative and independent judgment required; makes varied decisions; operates with substantial latitude for un‑reviewed action or decision; typically plans, conducts and supervises assignments, reviews progress and evaluates results; exhibits leadership skills; mentors employees across teams; may manage the workload of others.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe Agile experience
• Programming and/or IT background helpful.

Working Conditions

This is a hybrid position requiring three days (Tuesday-Thursday) in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, or Denver).

Compensation

The salary for this position generally ranges between $73,00 - $85,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation
