Job summary

South City Tax is seeking a Business Advisory Manager to lead and deliver timely engagements, including bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory work for a diverse client base. You will mentor staff, review work, and ensure financial statements are completed on schedule.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, GAAP compliance, and experience with NetSuite or Sage Intacct. CPA preferred; Master’s degree and extensive client management experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of professional accounting experience across multiple clients and industries.
• Ability to create and understand accurate financial statements.
• Experience with NetSuite and Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience), Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Superior accuracy and technical expertise, knowledge of client industries.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all client work and deliverables.
• Teach, coach, and train team members at various levels.
• Oversee and review work from entry level & senior staff.
• Provide accounting and advisory services for diverse clients and industries.
• Perform general accounting duties, including postings and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Propose and set up accounting systems for new clients (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
• Prepare and file sales tax returns; manage fixed assets records.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-level advisory input.
• Ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to deadlines.
